Take a look at our photos!  Thank you to all who donated towards the attainment of this  water well...it is a dream come true!
Now that the new well is in place and fully functioning we are on the lookout for a solar-powered pumping system. The generator that we are currently using is fueled by diesel...need we say more? It is quite costly to fire the generator up in order to pump the water to the holding tank. We usually need to run the generator 2 times a day at half-hour intervals.

Another one of our ongoing projects is to irrigate the sanctuary so that the burros can graze on the land. In the long-run this will save hundreds of dollars in ever rising hay costs. We plan to run piping down into the quarantine area also. This requires much work to dig the trenches that will carry the pipes/water down to the burros in that area which is located at the bottom of the sanctuary property.

A proposal is being written for the above mentioned projects and as soon as the details are worked out they will be posted here on the site.
