I was finally able to make a short trip to Olancha, CA to visit Diana and the burros this past March. I was so happy to see the many changes there that were made since I was last there back in September of 2008.

There is now water piped all the way down to the quarantine area of the sanctuary plus water at all the corrals from "jack town" up to the house! No more dragging hoses all around to water the various groups!  Especially to have water there in the quarantine. What a time saver that is not to have to haul the water down in tanks anymore!

The planting of trees, and getting an irrigation line set up in order to grow the plants that will feed the burros is now under way. There is still quite a bit of land to clear. We can always use lots of help for this!

It is amazing how much work has been done in improving life for the burros. The new shelters and easily accessible water makes things so much easier than how things were in the past.

Thanks to all you who help us with your donations, all our wishes for the burros are coming true!
